Can I begin with thanking all the teams in the GCFA for all their assistance in getting games played in the latter part of season 2010/11 and the first part of season 2011/12. We seem to be getting more and more bad winters and this plays havoc with our league and cup schedule but I am sure with your help we will get through it again. Congratulations to our league champions from last season Burnbank and Jimmy Johnstone Academy and our cup winners St Davids and Central. At the halfway stage of this campaign we have two teams heading the divisions who are are unfamiliar with being in that position, Hampden in Division 1 and new team Sporto in Division 2. They have a few teams chasing them for the title so the second half on the season should be exciting for all concerned. Finally on behalf of the league committee, Tommy Dunn, Bob McGinley and myself can we wish all clubs, players and committees and their families a very good 2012.
