It has been brought to our attention by the SAFA that there are some leagues operating in Scotland which are not affiliated to the SAFA. This in effect means that any player playing in these leagues is a protest if he plays in another league which is affiliated. As a lot of players do not know about the backgound to these situations they think a football league is just a football league and do not ask if they are attached to the SAFA. Before you register a player ask him if he plays in any other league and get some more details. There are a couple of Sunday leagues operating in the Glasgow area which are not affiliated so ask him about Sunday football and is he involved in these leagues. More details can be obtained from your own league secretary or the SAFA at Hampden Park. The motto here is better safe than sorry.
